Batoyle Freedom Group is one of the largest independent lubricant manufacturing companies in the UK.

Founded in 1875, the company has an extensive history of manufacturing specialist quality lubricants, oils and greases for a number of industrial markets. Batoyle is able to offer its customers a truly customer-orientated approach thanks to a divisional structure with teams of technical specialists focussed specifically on meeting the manufacturing and service needs of the industry sector they serve. The five main lubricant divisions served are the Automotive, Glass, Industrial, Textile and Tube & Wire industries.

The Group's head office is based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Sales Administration, Warehousing, and Distribution Depots are strategically placed around the UK to support the Huddersfield operation and ensure a very rapid, locally available service.

Lubricants are also exported to more than 50 countries through a dedicated network of worldwide agents and distributors who are experienced and trained to provide local sales and service support to the markets they operate in. Batoyle additionally has a Sales Centre in Italy to support a burgeoning European market.

A fully integrated management structure ensures that purchasing, production and transport operations respond as one single, seamless activity. The Operations Management Team service in excess of 5,000 customers with a product range totalling more than 800 lubricants and ancillary products.

At the Head Office and the Manufacturing & Sales Centres production capacity is in excess of 100,000 tonnes. To ensure the highest possible standard of customer service the Group operates its own transport fleet of commercial vehicles and tankers in order to provide an unbeatable level of delivery performance.

Accredited to ISO 9001 by the British Standards Institute, the Group's product Design, Development and Manufacturing functions meets the highest quality standards. Our goal is continuous improvement via the development of a Total Quality Management culture throughout the organisation.

Innovation and new Product Development are vital ingredients of our strategy. We recognise that the quality and performance of the lubricants we supply are key to our customers own operations, therefore we continuously strive for technology improvements. Marketing and Technical activities are combined to ensure new product development is focused on the needs of our customers and on the markets we service.

A large proportion of our lubricants are formulated to meet International Standards and Original Equipment Manufacturers requirements. In addition, we pride ourselves in having the capability and flexibility to tailor Product Development to individual customer needs and specific product applications.
